The Man In Love
and wife in this case. We also understand from 1 John 5:3 that His commandments are not burdensome.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
1 John 5:3
Therefore, not only is God not asking us as husbands to give to our wives what we cannot give, in His faithfulness He has made arrangements for us to live up to what He expects of us. He has made provision for us to have the ‘heart of love.’
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
Ezekiel 36:26-27
Ezekiel 36:26-27 spells out God’s commitment to put in us the requisite heart of flesh and His Spirit that will cause us to walk in love. Truly He has made provision for us to deliver on His expectation that men would love their wives.
