The Man In Love
How does your wife’s car compare with yours in comfort, strength and durability? How does her allowance compare with how much you spend on yourself each month? How much time to you allow her to commit to the service of God compared with the time you spend keeping her waiting while holding a variety of meetings in church? How does her offering in church compare with yours? Is she generally consigned to an inferior position relative to yours on most matters of importance, especially those having to do with the kingdom of God?
As husbands, do we accord our wives these privileges or do we seek to shield them from them? Are we so status or class conscious that our wives are a far cry from where we are in the eyes of the church and the world? What steps have we taken consciously to redress economic, social and even spiritual inequalities between us and our wives? Do our wives enjoy the same standing with God as we enjoy (for those who are at higher levels of spiritual maturity compared with their wives). Through the love of Christ, He took deliberate steps to bring our status up while ensuring that we access privileges hitherto exclusive to
