The Man In Love
Again, it is clear from this scripture that whatever is the state of our wives at any point in time during our relationship, is reflective of how seriously the husband has loved her as his body. The husband is exclusively responsible for the wife’s status of holiness and whatever faults (including physical), that remain associated with her. It is his job to love her just like he loves himself because by so doing, with time the fault will disappear and her full glory would manifest.
No one is permitted to hate his wife because it is not normal for a husband to hate his body. Where such exists, something fundamental has gone out of course. Such a situation requires very urgent and drastic steps to ensure that the relationship does not fall apart.
Do you as a husband take care of your wife the same way you take care of your body? Is your wife as precious to you as your body is? Do you deck her as well as your body? Does she command the kind of attention that your body receives from you when anything happens with her? Can she testify that she is first priority with you in the same way that your body is to you? Do you go to great lengths to satisfy her in vital ways as you do with
