implementation reviews. Regarding staff development, one staff member completed her MSc studies during
            the period under review.

            Staff and students engaged in various research projects consistent with the Centre’s 2018 Annual Research
            Plan. The research agenda was also supported by postgraduate students doing their Master and  PhD degrees,
            and who were attached to the Centre. The 5th Annual  African Discovery Camp for Research -based Training
            Summer School, a Regional Graduate Network in Oceanography, was held at the Centre, and attracted   diverse
            participants nationally and internationally. It worthy noting that the University of Namibia through the Centre,
            spearheaded the membership of Namibia to the Scientific  Community on Oceanic Research. Academic staff
            during the reporting period also publish research articles in peer reviewed journals, and served on committees
            both nationally and internationally.
