In terms of Human Capital Development, the University through the HRDC approved 314 staff members to
pursue their studies at UNAM and other institutions. The data in table 2, reflect various levels of the fields of study
pursued by gender.

In addition, a significant number (54) of UNAM staff completed their studies in various fields through UNAM Staff
Development programme as reflected in table 3.

With regards to staff capacity training, both academic and administrative, following the outcome of the needs
assessment conducted in 2018, the University provided training to 338 staff members at various campuses in
several areas. Furthermore, Wellness Day and Health Screening for staff were held at various UNAM campuses
that included Ogongo, Oshakati, Hifikepunye Pohamba, Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, and Katima Mulilo Campuses.
