1.  INTRODUCTION



            The  University  of Namibia currently
            consists of 12 campuses, 4 faculties
            and 17  schools, spread  across the
            country.


            This Style Guide will provide staff
            and students within the institution
            with clear guidelines on use of
            coat of arms, logos, colours, styling,
            typography   and    photography,
            amongst others. Service providers,

            print companies, sign companies,
            media houses, third party designers
            will also be able to use this Style
            Guide for correct applications of the
            visual aspects of the UNAM Brand.


            Users of the Style Guide should
            never  lose sight of the fact that

            any Brand is much  more than
            just the visual  aspect of things. It
            is about perceptions and verbal
            communication that flows across
            the entire university community
            while   traversing  all  platforms
            and    interactions  with  various
            stakeholders and/or customers of
            the institution.


            With this exercise the focus will thus
            be on the  visual communication

            and tone of voice, to provide clear
            guidance on the UNAM brand
            identity.


            Since the University has campuses
            faculties and schools across Namibia,
            it is important to always maintain a
            SINGLE CONSISTENT BRAND,  shared

            amongst all stakeholders.
