TEARS OF SUFFERING

Au Lham sighed. She walked back to the kitchen and
leaned on the rack, recollecting Samphel. With Samphel,
she felt the house deserted. Tears pricked her eyes.

Ugyen suffocated like a little fish out of the water,
struggling to catch the breath. The more he thought
about Samphel, the more he missed him. Tears pricked
his eyes, too, but with each passing day, Ugyen redeemed
his normal state of mind. With the love and bounty he
got from his surrogate parents, he felt even more homely
than ever.

Time slipped by before him, rapturously. He attended the
school on time and helped Au Lham back home. What
more could he expect besides what he had acquired in
that house?
