TEARS OF SUFFERING
Tshoden suffered from despicable moments. She would
miss Ugyen terribly.
After receiving the progress reports, Tshoden walked
with Ugyen back home. “Ugyen, what’s the plan for the
winter?” she asked, blinking sadly.
“No plan as such,” he replied.
“Nothing?” she asked. “Staying here only?”
Ugyen nodded and remained silent for a moment,
looking up at the clear sky. And he chortled, analyzing his
mystic life.
“Ugyen?” she said.
He turned to her and flashed a wide grin. “I think so.”
“You think so? What do you mean?”
“Nothing,” he looked again at the distant horizon.
The birds swirled in a circle above their heads. The winter
breeze whipped across their faces. Ugyen felt a knot on
his chest as he tried to control his chokes.
Tshoden held his hand. “What do you mean?”
“Forget it.”
“But, I am asking you.”
