Chapter 8
                   The Gallery Owner’s Secret

                   Mitchel and Katrin Reveals Everything

                   Oranienburg Strasse 9, Berlin

Monday late afternoon, February 24, 2018

The courtyard is buzzing, filled with loud, cheerful voices and happy reggae mu-

sic from a birthday party at the café on the opposite side, which has the same en-
trance as the gallery, a big door via the courtyard. The cafe's door stands wide

open as if it were huge windows. The guests sit closely packed together at small

tables outside, talking, while others stand with wine glasses and tapas in their
hands. A few people have chosen to dance, probably fuelled by the midday

grapes, they’ve manage to find a small space to act as a dance floor. Others are

smoking in the courtyard, drawing fresh air away from the crowded café. A cou-
ple of busy waiters trying to keep track of all the guests' orders.

Katrin and Mitchel stand on the opposite side of the courtyard, diagonally
from the café, and are about to arrive at the new gallery, which Mitchel has

rented for the first time at a good price.

Katrin jokingly says, as she curiously tries to look in through one of the
gallery's large, dusty and dirty windows: “So how long does your rental contract

                   run?"

“Just a moment!” says Mitchel as he fumbles in the darkness with a bundle
of keys he received by the gallery owner. He picks up the bundle, studying it

closely, trying to figure out which one is the correct key. He needs to open two

                   doors with two locks each.
“Well, so far I have signed a four-year contract with the owner,” he re-

plies, then adds; "The owner, Ursula, has said that it is not a problem to get the

contract extended if I desire. She has given me what’s called The Priority Right.”
With her nose still pushed up very close to the dirty window Katrin follows up on

                   his comment:
