Karin exclaims in surprise "Wow, yes. At least there has been no one here
for the last 70 years, I understand. Well, and she tried to avoid showing it off be-
cause it wasn’t ready.”
“Yet! ” Mitchel adds with a smile.
"Ursula was very sorry, so she couldn’t reach the ceiling, leaving it unat-
tended. But I said it wasn’t urgent, I mean, it is after all limited how many great
artists I can get in the first place, just opening up. So we agreed to call each other
in a few months time. I got the impression that she was almost a little afraid to
talk about it. She is after all an older woman, she can’t move things nor does she
want to hire people to do it. Her mind is tired,” answers Mitchel
“Yeah. We’ll see.” Karin says and points, with an expression on her face of
equal parts surprise and skepticism. "But it’s worth a fortune-”
Mitchel interjects. “Just let it be. She knows it’s worth a lot, but she doesn’t
like to spend and make rash decisions."
Mitchel walks to the other end of the room and opens one of the heavy
dark brown wooden boxes, reminiscent of modern boxes for expensive wines
just in large size.
"Let's see what's in the boxes,” He says. He opens one of the boxes, "Look
here"
From the box he has opened, he picks up an old but intact colourful exhi-
bition catalog which he holds out in front of him. Karin stands next to him, while
she gently lets her finger slide over the front of the catalog, she says. “See how
nice the colours still hold” She takes the catalog out of his hands and flips gently
in it. The catalog is with the front and back in thick flexible cardboard like a book
and the other pages also in strong paper, however thinner than the front and
back.
"It's a whole art book that's really made something out of it. This belongs
to a museum, do you realise what it is we stand for?”
Mitchel has already dug up another catalog that is equally aesthetically pleasing
and art finished.
"These are old exhibition catalogs they must have cost a fortune to pro-
duce, I have never seen anything like it, see how beautiful it is, one of Erik Shile’s
paintings that adorn the front"
