Flexible Spending Accounts
· Put pre-tax dollars into a flexible spending account to pay for Dependent Care and/or most
unreimbursed health care cost that are not covered by insurance.
· Health Care FSA $2,650 and Dependent Care FSA $5,000.
· Employee can enroll during group annual open enrollment, initial hire enrollment or if
member experiences a qualifying life event.
· Please see How/when to make changes section of this guide for more information regarding
when you can make changes to your elections.

· Any change in annual election due to qualifying life event will only be valid for expenses
acquired from the date of status change through the end of the plan year.
· There is a $500 carryover benefit per year for your Health Care FSA. Any remaining funds, over
$500, after the last day of the plan year will be forfeited as the IRS Use it or Lose it rule
applies.
· Any remaining funds left in your Dependent Care FSA, after the last day of the plan year, will
be forfeited as the IRS Use it or Lose it rule applies.
