BCBSNC Medical Network

The Core Plan features the Blue Options PPO network with BCBSNC. This is the full BCBSNC network; therefore you
as a member will have access to all BCBS NC IN NETWORK Providers.

The Buy Up Plan utilizes the Blue Select PPO network; however, there are different coverage levels that apply to
specialists and hospitals based on whether the provider is a Tier 1 or Tier 2 provider.

Buy Up Plan Pharmacy Blue Select network for 2018

You can confirm if your current providers are listed in the BLUE SELECT network by going to the BCBSNC website:

• Click on “Find a Doctor” tab at the top
• Select “Blue Select” Plan
• “Get Medical Care”
• From there you can type in the doctor’s name or look under primary care, etc., or look for a hospital or
facility to confirm that it is in the Blue Select Network.

Remember, if you need to see a doctor while outside the state of NC, the BlueCard® network keeps you covered in
nearly 200 countries and regions worldwide. To find a health care provider when you travel, just call the Locate
Non-NC Provider telephone number on the back of your BCBSNC ID card.
