Growth in demand for free-from food and drink continues to rise globally - in the UK free-from sales are forecast to reach £673 million by 2020, (Mintel 2017). These seminars bring together experts from across the free-from food and drink landscape to explore the consumer trends, media perception, latest NPD and innovation, and future opportunities in retail home and overseas, as well as the impact of Brexit on this category.
The role of clean label in the free-from category
More free-from companies are incorporating ‘clean label’ philosophies into new product development. These session looks at clean label, ‘natural’ ingredients and sugar replacers while not compromising on nutrition and taste. Nutritional credentials of free-from food do matter, as 54% of those who eat free-from would stop if they thought these were less healthy than standard offerings (Mintel).
