Vehicular / Pedestrian Connections
This map shows various types of connections and pathways that allow
DE-1 (ROUTE 1)
vehicles and pedestrians to move through Dover. To the east, DE-1
(Route 1) and US-13 (Highway 13) both create a significant bifurcation
between downtown Dover and the surrounding neighborhoods. Within the
downtown district of Dover, access is much easier for users on foot or
bicycle. From the transit center located at the southwest corner, most of
the downtown district can be accessed in a 20-minute walk, or 5-minute
bike ride.
