Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania
Design Statement: Bernardon provided architectural
design services, as well as coordination of engineering
disciplines for a multifamily residential project that “wraps”
a portion of the existing parking garage constructed at 6th
and Walnut Streets in the city of Allentown. The 70,000
SF building is five stories, tapering down to four stories on
the northern edge of the property. It uses the existing car
entrance and exit points and has a pedestrian access point at
the building’s southwest corner.
The pet-friendly building includes a total of 61 studio,
one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. The first floor
Walnut Street-facing apartments will have street access,
helping to blend the building with the existing residential
neighborhood.
