I explained my situation to him: what I was trying to accomplish, and the
problems I was facing. Once I finished, he looked at me with his warm eyes and
smiled sweetly. My heart melted. Then he spoke: “the whole world is a stage, and
every one of us is a player. All players have exits and entrances - sometimes
they’re on, other times they’re off. Today may be your “off day,” but tomorrow
you might be the star of the show.
His words reminded me of Emily Dickenson’s. They reminded me to always
be hopeful, no matter what happens in life.
