Sarah is a very successful singer. She has many fans who attend her
concerts. Some say that she sings like an angel. However, singing isn’t
her only hobby. She also enjoys swimming. Her friends say that she
swims like a dolphin. Sarah participates in so many actives that her
friends call her a busy as a bee. She only takes a break from her busy
life in summer. Despite her very busy life she is, by all accounts, a happy
person.
Authors use personification to give non-human things human feelings, beliefs,
ideas, and personality traits.
I love life, a lot. For me, an important part of loving live is appreciating
nature. Every morning, I wake up early, open the window, take a deep breath, and
feel grateful to be alive.
Many of my friends do not appreciate nature. They complain about it:
“winter’s coming,” “it’s going to rain,” “the sun rises to early,” “it’s too hot,” “it’s
too cold.” I’m not that kind of person. Perhaps my friends aren’t grateful to be
alive.
Every day is another chance to appreciate life and the beauty of nature.
Today is such a day. It’s Friday afternoon, I’m walking home
from school ready to enjoy the weekend. As I walk I’m keenly
aware of nature all around me: the soulful sound of the wind
as it wisps and winds through the swaying trees, the crackly
crunching as I walk over dry, fallen leaves, the nearly silent
whispering of snowflakes as they drift playfully downward
knowing that they need not rush to reach their destination;
and when the bright sun peeks out from behind the high
clouds to warm the air, the snow turned to rain, it’s droplets
kissing my cheeks. Oh! What joy!
Time flies. So, enjoy every moment. Enjoy nature’s every whim.
