Authors use anthropmorphism to create images
of characters who, though they are not human,
actually looks, behaves, thinks, speaks, dresses,
and interacts, and lives as though it were.
Anthropomorphic characters are often animals,
but they can be other non-human things as well.
Instructions: Read the following paragraph.
Rabbit awoke, pulled his silver watch from the pocket of
his woolen vest, and checked the time. “I’m late for tea!” He
exclaimed as he jumped from the soft chair in which he’d fallen
asleep. He grabbed his hat and scarf, put on his coat and shoes,
and raced out of the house, stopping only for a moment to pat
a neighborhood dog on the head.
