School perspective
Planning, designing and delivering a Day of Action
links to the cross-curricular responsibilities of
literacy, numeracy and digital competence.
Numeracy targets can be driven by collecting real
life data. This data can be analysed and presented in
such a way to make it relevant to the whole school
community.
Topics can also be highlighted through art and
performing arts projects.
By investigation and information, the Day of Action
can highlight issues to help young people understand
how they affect the environment and, very
importantly, how they can improve it.
The findings from the Day of Action can be taken
forward to create more actions, greater impact and
strengthen pupil voice.
