1.      Photography - Level 1 (CCAVPH1002);

               2.      Printing and Graphic Arts – Computer Graphic Arts (CCPGG10205);

               3.      Fabric Design (CCPSFD1004); or,

               4.      Art and Craft Production - (Textile/Fibre) (CCECC10904).

               The  decisions  to  award  competencies  will  be  based on  the  quality  and relevance  of  the  pieces  of
               evidence presented for the occupational area.


             SKILLS AND ABILITIES TO BE ASSESSED

               The knowledge and skills students are expected to develop on completion of this syllabus, have been
               grouped under three headings:

               1.      Craftsmanship;

               2.      Design and Composition;

               3.      Originality; and,

               4.      Research (Theory, Process and Practice of Visual Arts).


             DEFINITION OF PROFILE DIMENSIONS

               1.      Craftsmanship:

                       -      The ability to demonstrate knowledge of materials, media, traditions and Visual Art
                              processes.

               2.      Design and Composition:

                       -      The ability to apply materials, media and methods to complete stated objectives.

               3.      Originality:

                       -      The ability to demonstrate personal expression and creativity.

               4.      Research (Theory, Process and Practice of Visual Arts):

                       -      The ability to organise and report research findings and apply knowledge of Visual Art
                              techniques, materials, media, traditions and practitioners.
