Confidently Chubby
“Sue! Sue!” Sue Lee was brought back to reality
by the bellowing of her name.
“Yes, Mama,” Sue Lee murmured faintly.
“If you don’t get out of this house, I’ll…”
‘Yes Mamma, I’m going,” Sue Lee interrupted. She
swiftly put her old school bag on her back and
rushed to the front door.
“Sue, you need to eat your breakfast.”
Sue Lee ignored her mother’s comment and set
off on a very brisk walk down the craggy hill
through the shortcut. Sue reached the bus stop
just in time to catch the bus.
“Good morning,” Sue cheerfully greeted the bus
driver Elton.
Elton was a middle age man, with a head full of
grey hair, and a small tiny frame. He was always
kind to Sue. Sue sat quietly in the back of the bus
hoping that something terrible may happen to
