cancel school. All the way to school, Sue Lee kept

fiddling with her faded green skirt and shirt, she

was nervous.

Sue Lee met her two best friends Kayla Panton and

Shania Flagler at the stairway to her classroom.

Shania had a thin frame, blue eyes, chestnut hair

and skin as white as a sheet while Kayla had blue

eyes with steel-rimmed glasses covering the beauty
of her eyes, black hair and light skin. Kayla was a

bit on the plump side too.

‘’How was the bus ride to school?’’ asked Sue Lee.

‘’Ducky, our bus driver, ran over two agoutis,’’

exaggerated Kayla.

“Two! Really? He needs to retake the driving test,’’
said Sue Lee with a grin on her face.

‘’Yeah, he didn’t even stop to see if they were

dead,’’ Kayla continued.

DING! DING! The girls were rudely interrupted by

the school bell. It sounded as if it had contracted
