The Lazy Mermaid

Jasmine moaned loudly and cried out, “I’m feeling

very sick, that’s why!”

“You know, I think that the only thing making you
sick is laziness!” scolded Jane

Jasmine’s gullible mother rushed into the sitting

room as soon as she heard her daughter’s loud

moans. She was stunned and afraid at the same

time. In fact, she was so frightened that she ran

over to Doctor Triton’s office straight away.
“Doctor, doctor! Please hurry!” she cried,

“My darling Jasmine is sick.”

The doctor asked, “Oh! And when did Jasmine get

sick?”

“I don’t know. I just heard her moaning so she

must be very ill!” insisted her desperate Mother.

As the doctor entered the house he overheard

Jane telling Jasmine, “You are the worst liar!

I don’t believe there is anything wrong with you!

Doctor Triton will soon find out what is really
wrong with you! But I already know … selfishness

and laziness!”
