Two of the four wheels in the pottery are 1
over 200 years old. They are constructed with
a stone flywheel and a wooden wheel-head.
Many small pots are thrown
from one lump of clay. Each is decorated, cut
from the lump and placed on a board beside the
wheel.
The potter sits in a pit so that he works at
ground level, spinning the fly with a rhythmical
kicking motion.
