Depending on the size of the pot and
the condition of the weather, the pots are either
left inside, or placed in the sun, to dry out. If
they dry too fast, the clay will crack and split.

The kiln is divided into an upper and lower :
chamber by a floor with a hole in its centre.
The fire pit is reached by an opening at the foot
of the kiln. There is a slope to the back of the
kiln which gives access to the domed roof
which also has a hole in its centre, through
which the potter climbs to pack the kiln.
