Wee have endeavored to procure some old ffashion silver lace for y_L
Okaune of Larr but none could bo found in all y towns, if any can be got
by yJL next ships it shall bo sent you.
The “ 8ied Pore ” Merchant hath stole away without taking o^_ passe,
w$. is a slight and disrespect woe shall not admitt off; woe therefore desire
that in case any of oJL ships be in Port when she is there y4- you. order some
Englishmen to make a pretended seasure of her, & threaten to make hor a
prize; but upon their submission, and acknowledgemJL of their ffault, you
must surrender hor againo, and take care that noe damadge in the least bo
done unto her by o_L men. This wee designe onely to preserve oJL reputo &
respect with these Merchants, who otherwise will neglect & grow bold and
despise o.L nation and the Compel authority.
Aoconnta. Account According to yoi desire wee have examined the bales of Carmania wool
booka to be regularly
•cot. sent yJL yeare & found amoungst them parcells to be black wooll wj^l in
compl.vance to yJL directions wee have marked 11, but wee were at a great
losse how to invoice them as well as y±- others, you having not sent us any
invoice of either, w«^. wee doe not a little wonder at, & y_°r Company cannot be
well pleased with such omissions, nor can they or wee approve of yo-*- neglect
in not sending us the bookes of your ffactorv. It is now 4 yeares sinoe wee
received any from you and therefore wee desire you not tofayle to send us voJL
acoounts by y±. first ships; the excuse you make for want of Paper is noe waye
to be admitted off, for surely you might have been supplyed for yJL money a
y^. Dutch house or yS. Pfrench, for yo .r- bookes are but a small bulke, & will
not require much. Wee are frequently disappointed of Paper from the Company
but should be ashamed to make that a pretence not to send home their bookes
of accoii. We are necessitated to mind you of y particular in regard the
Company doth severely chide us when they have not the bookes of each ffaotory
yearely sent'home, wherefore wee desire you not to fayle us hereafter.
The Honors Company have enordered us to send some 400 bales of
Carmania and have ordered it to be picked very cleano & well packed,
w5k wee desire you to provide and send us by ship “ Returne ” or “ Selymony,*'
for wee shall want that full quantity for yJL lading of o-r- ships home for
England, and therefore doe expect that you will not fayle us therein.
The Honors Company having strictly required of us to send oJL opinions
Gombroon ouatoms.
touching the present state of their affaires in Persia, & to propose some meanes
whereby the King of Persia may be brought to allow a more equall share of
y.*~ customes of Gombroone to them, wee have thought good to communicate
to y*L. oJL Judgement, thereof in a paper, w^ wee have sent them by the last
shipps, copy whereof wee herewith send for yoJL peru6all, & wee desire that you
will afford us yoJL sence, whether or noe what wee have proposed be practi
cable or noe or any wayes prejudicial to y4- Hono^ Company.
In case that y-£- " Selymony v or “ Returne ** should not returne from
Bussorah timely enough to bring the OompH. wool to be laden for England on
yJ- yeares expected Eleet, yi. wee would have you send it on y4r 8^P
that presents for yJL port the beginning of next Moonsoon.
Wee are at present in greate want of horses having disposed of oi- 2 best
to yJL Governour. Wee therefore doe desire you to provide & send#by y-~
