Assuming this to be so, and there was no reason to doubt it, the language
held by His Highness, and the analogy which was evidently in his mind between
the situation of Persia and China in relation to Russia, Sir A. Hardinge
thought, sufficiently significant, when his ultra-Russophil reputation is borne in
mind, to merit notice.
