There was a substantial increase in the number of native craft which called at Bahrain during
1364 as compared with 1363, the increase was greatest in craft from the Persian coast where owing to
good rains in the winter of 1363-64 there was an abundant harvest. This resulted in a surplus of grain
which could be imported. There are definite signs of a general revival in trade.
