KUWAIT
The British Agency in Kuwait inherited a single post office,
situated since 1942 on the first floor of an old building in the Suuq
al Sarafin (Money Changers’ Market).

Shortly afterwards Kuwait was raised in status from a Sub
Office to a Main Post Office, Raja Mohd. Khan becoming
Postmaster. His staff at this time consisted of three Pakistani
Postal Clerks, three Arab Postmen (one of whom had then
completed 28 years service), a Telegraph Sub-Inspector, a Telegraph
