May 1st, 1950, it became a Post Office operated by (he Company on
                 behalf of the British Postal Agencies (the Company continued to operate
                 it for the State Post Office until April 30th, 1965). Initially, a Kuwait
                 canceller (Type 22) was used; but from August 2nd, 1950, Alimadi
                 acquired its own named date-stamps (Types 25 and 26). A rubber
                 registered canceller (as Type 23 but inscribed AHMADI) came into use
                 shortly after.
