Type 29 Type 30
Tlic overprinted Coronation set was issued on June 3rd, 1953, and
about this time a new canceller (Type 27) came into use at Ahmadi.
Exchange Office hand-stamps (normally only used on postal documents)
are known, occasionally, cancelling stamps from June 1953 onwards.
Type 28 is also known with two parallel lines either side of the star, and
a similar type was used at Ahmadi. The steel Registered cancellers were
probably introduced in 1953 (Types 29 and 30); Ahmadi had two in the
same style but with different sizes of letters.
