In a few cases a complete set of the Muscat Scout stamps was used
on the cover, but in most instances the sets were used on ‘paired’ covers —
one cover bearing one each of the 15 NP and 25 NP stamps, making up
the 40 NP postage for a lfi oz. Air Mail letter to England; and the other
cover bearing the 75 NP Scout stamp together with normal Kuwait over
prints to the value of 5 NP covering the 1 oz. rate. The registered covers
carried the additional 40 NP fee in normal Kuwait overprints.
Another five covers passed through the Kuwait Post Office in
October 1957 bearing odd “Value Only” Scout stamps used in con
junction with Kuwait stamps; all were for local delivery.
