               The final withdrawal of the British Force took place between
          September 29th and October 19th; and the latest recorded date of use
          of the three F.P.O. cancellers in Kuwait is October 3rd.

               Kuwait became a member of the U.P.U. on February 16th, 1960;
          and, by 1966, no less than 25 Post Offices - in Kuwait Town and its
          suburbs, in coastal villages, in the Neutral Zone at Ras al Khafji (where
          the Saudi Arabian Government also had a Post Office) and even on
          Failaka Island — fulfilled the desire expressed by Shaikh Mubarak over
