alcohol evaporates and you get concentrated orange essential oil. Take care the cloth does
not get into the container as it will absorb all of your orange essential oil.
Make sure you use organic plants for essential oil extraction, or you might be
making concentrated poison from all the extremely dangerous poisons (insecticides
and other chemicals) put on the plant or fruit.
Those who did not try to create their own essential oils should try the simpler oil infusion

process which produce already diluted essential oils, before trying the newer methods
which require a distillery and produce more strong, concentrated essential oils. Here is
how you extract essential oil with the oil infusion process:
(These first three are about picking and preparing your plants)
1.
In any essential oil production, first you need to select the plant you want to use, and
research it’s characteristics, see if it’s essential oil will suit you.
Then you need to get some plants or fruits, but you have to know exactly when the

plant you chose is to be picked if you are to extract essential oil, and it is mostly
picked when the plants flowers are blooming, as essential oils are mostly gotten from
flowers. Do make sure the plant you pick is organic, or if you pick it in the wild,
that it is not chemically treated, and not on a contaminated field, which is hard

to know but is very important for the quality and health effects.
3.
Choose good plants, pick them in the correct period and in the correct way, have the
plant parts which you need for essential oil extraction, and handle them with care,
and dry them in a drafty room, not directly in sunlight.
(These are exclusive to the simpler, low cost oil infusion process)
Then, lightly beat on the previously washed plant parts and put into a jar containing

organic, extra-virgin vegetable oil of choice, such as olive oil or sesame oil, you need
about twice as much of material for every cup of oil you add.
5.
Close the jar, and after a day, strain the oil and repeat with the same quantity of new
material in the same oil.
6. Store the vegetable oil dilution of the essential oil in a dark glass container away
from sunlight.

If you own a distillery, the essential oil extraction is similar in picking and preparing the
plant material (first 3 steps). Make sure you only use glass or metal parts, as using plastic
tubes or other parts will affect the quality of the essential oil. Here is how you get
essential oils with a distillery:
(The first 3 steps are the same as in the previous one)
Pour filtered or distilled water in the tank of your distillery, see the distillery

manufacturer’s manual to see how much water to pour. The distillation will take from
less than an hour to 6 hours.
5. Put in as much plants as you can in the distillery, do not prepare them to not have less

essential oils in the distillation.
