Accounting:
Working knowledge of accounting for governmental entities utilizing interpretations by the
Governmental Accounting Standards Board, Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing
Standards, and the Blue Book (Governmental Accounting, Auditing, and Financial
Reporting); preparation of financial statements, responsible for processing accounts payable and
accounts receivable; adjusting and closing entries, and annual/quarterly reports to the State
Controller, Board of Equalization, IRS, & EDD; fiscal reporting, debt management and treasury
functions, including cash management, investments, business licensing, sales tax,
purchasing/procurement procedures, utility billings and collections; practice of generally
accepted accounting principles; yearly budget preparation and analysis; preparation of payroll,
payroll deposits, employer quarterly tax returns, personal tax returns, and monthly sales tax
returns; maintain computerized cost accounting system for the county road fund; spreadsheet
applications; working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Worked with
several financial software programs including CAMS and Tyler Technologies-Incode.
