I am excited to submit my resume for your consideration, related to the recruitment for the Director of
Administration/Clerk of the Board position at Vallejo Flood & Wastewater District. I have been hired by
Vallejo Flood & Wastewater District to serve in this role in interim capacity. I am currently employed by
City of Berkeley, and will separate from the City on March 1, and begin working in Vallejo on March 6. It
is my hope that my professional qualifications and experience, along with the work that I will produce while
in the interim role, will garner me an interview so that I may compete for the permanent position.

I have extensive experience working in administration and as Clerk of the Board within the municipal
wastewater / special district environment, and given the close relationship that Vallejo Flood & Wastewater
District has with the City of Vallejo (e.g., the Board is made up of the City Council), I believe my most
recent experience in the city municipal environment would be beneficial. I have the right mix of experience
and skills to do the work that Vallejo is recruiting for, along with the subject matter expertise necessary to
comply with open government laws, support a Board, and administratively manage the delivery of policies
set by the Board and the vision as defined by the District Manager.
I have the right team-oriented skills I know the management at Vallejo Flood & Wastewater District is
interested in. I believe in collaborating with other managers to set and meet organizational goals, and I
support the work and achievements of those I work with. I also believe strongly that everyone within an
organization—and its customers—benefit when those I personally supervise have my guidance, support,
mentorship, and belief in their capacity to excel.
