Overall: Has worked at an executive level in a finance function since April of 2004 when she was a
Deputy Director of Finance and Administration with SFCTC until her most recent position as
CFO with NCTD. Has worked with a variety of agencies of different sizes. NCTD is smaller
- there she managed a staff of 19 employees and an annual budget of $136m. Had done a
thorough amount of research. Enthusiastic: came across as energetic and sharp. Answered
the questions to the point with relevant examples. Generally good job tenure, with the
exception of not working since 2018 due to a health-related issue.
Overall: Luz came across as energetic, enthusiastic, like a strong leadership type. She
spoke about resilience and her comfort navigating larger, politically charged organizations
such as the SFCTA. She had to leave her most recent position as CFO of the NCTD due to
health-related issues. She is now looking to re-enter the workforce, saying she has another
10-15 years.
