RECRUITMENT PROPOSAL
Recruitment Process
Following are our detailed work plan, technical approach, and deliverables to be completed for
this vital recruitment for the City of Calistoga:
Phase 1: Launch Deliverable 1. Ideal Candidate Profile Developed by Meeting with Key Decision Makers
The development of the ideal candidate profile for an executive level position is crucial for a suc-
cessful search process. We will meet with the City Council if desired, Mayor and other City repre-
sentatives to discuss and refine the City’s needs and resulting position requirements for the Chief
of Police position. We recommend also partnering with other leaders associated with the City to
gain an understanding of what dynamics the Chief of Police will encounter. The process can also
include members of the community and workshops with staff.
Deliverable 2. Professionally Designed Brochure & Kick-Off Binder
In collaboration with the City and working closely with our professional design team, a visually
appealing and mobile friendly recruitment brochure will be designed. During the design, K&A
Recruiting will review aspects of the ideal candidate profile, formal job description, and informa-
tion available online. The brochure will create excitement around this opportunity by highlight-
ing strengths and challenges, upcoming projects, goals, culture and environment, extracurricular

Before posting the brochure online, we will prepare K&A Recruiting’s Digital Kick-Off Binder. The
Binder will include two versions of the brochure design for your team to select from, the project-
ed timeline, and our recommended ad list. The Kick-Off Binder provides a medium by which your
organization can easily collaborate with K&A Recruiting.
Deliverable 3. Advertising & Marketing
K&A Recruiting will post the professionally designed brochure on the sites agreed upon in our ad
list, specific to the position. Once the job is live, K&A Recruiting we will accept applications and
proactively grow the candidate pool. Our team will also use our social media presence, such as
Twitter and LinkedIn to announce the opening and ask our network for referrals.
