Tracee is a great candidate with current experience as an Assistant in a large urban City. She is in
City of Phoenix with 6 deputies reporting to her and over 600 FTE in the half of the department
that reports to her. She has experience with a wide array of programming, including youth specific
and focusing on under served areas of the community. Tracee has built strong relationships with
the elected officials, with the community, and is able to successful implement programs and
strategies through her staff. Her core belief is that you have to be part of the community as a
Parks and Rec leader, and not just working in the community from 8-5. Her approach is to get to
know the core values of the policy makers and then hold herself and staff accountable to ensuring
they are meeting expectations, and also be willing to speak to why some things cannot be
accomplished. She finds creative ways to meet the needs of maintanance issues, despite
budget reductions. Ensuring staff is trainedf in soft and technical skills is important to her.
