perceived, what is the perception. Since I got that early on in consulting, it was so much easier to
approach commissioners, city council. It's all about their districts. They are trying to stay in office.
You have to address it. You have to be hand-on with them to help them succeed. When there's
runoffs, political, I always stayed with the current Council and Mayor and supported them. There's
a lot of other things, like political events. I'm very use to doing that stuff since I did it in the
military. Building relationships. Collaboration is very important.
8. What is your experience working within a union environment/with a unionized workforce/with
union leaders?
9. This position will interact with managers throughout the City as well as other
organizations and individuals throughout the community. How do you evaluate whether
they are receiving the expected level of service? What do you feel are some of the
challenges to achieving a high level of customer service?

My wife is from San Diego. She's always had an interest in going back. We actually met in Orange
County.
