RFL: Shauna is currently an Interim General Manager with the Monterey County Water Resources Agency.
Overall: She does not wish to continue on as full-time because she has retired from the CalPERS system and does not
want to re-enter.

Previous to Monterey, Shauna was the General Manager with San Juan Water District, serving the greater
Sacramento area for 13 years. The position of Public Utilities Director would be a step up in terms of team size
for Shauna. However, she has been highest up in the hierarchy with large water districts. She has a good
energetic communication style, and spoke about her abilities to create synergy within organziations. She had
an example where she explained motivating staff starts at the top, "When I was going down to meet with the
customers and walking them over to where they need to go etcetera, people started to do the same thing."
have no doubt that she has a strong understanding of the workings of local government and the water and
wastewater industries. She is confident that she would be able to make the transition smoothly.
