SUMMARY

30 years of experience with 20 years of executive management experience at a public
water agency, including 13 years as a General Manager. In addition, technical
experience as a water resources consulting engineer.

Strengths include seeing the big picture and being able to lay out an implementation
plan to meet the ultimate goals. Ability to understand the complexity of projects and
each stakeholders' interest and fears, taking the interests and uncertainties and quickly
identify ways to calm the concerns and ensure all feel safe in the discussions. Quick
thinking and ability to quickly grasp the situation results in developing unexpected
options and creative, consensus-based solutions to complex situations.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Monterey County Water Resources Agency
Interim General Manager
Jan 2019 to present (ending June 2019)

Selected through a competitive process to be the interim General Manager after
existing General Manager’s contract was not renewed. Responsible for day to
day activities of flood control and water resource responsibilities, including
groundwater aquifer storage and recovery, in lieu groundwater recharge,
reservoir operations, river operations and diversion facilities.

Tasked with shifting direction of Agency financially, strategically and culturally.
Responsible for developing transparent public information to assist tax based
Agency obtain voter approval for increased funding.

Intentional Time Off
March 2018 to Dec 2018

After 30 years of continuous work, I elected to take time off without any responsibilities
to travel prior to identifying my next endeavor in water policy.
