Profile A seasoned Public Works professional with experience spanning a broad
spectrum of public works infrastructure issues, policies, and projects over the
past 21 years. Focus areas include:
Leadership – Established relationships with a proven track record of
successful leadership on both the programmatic level as well as the

administrative policies, engineering design guidelines, and contracting

and state transportation funding programs, preparation and
implementation of a Capital Improvement Program, Enterprise funding,

teams, programs, and projects, leading to a comprehensive knowledge
of the project delivery process, operations, environmental regulation, and
financial stewardship.

Background May 2019 – Present
Leadership of the City of Sacramento’s Department of Public Works. The 733
employee Department is responsible for dozens of business lines spread across
seven Divisions including Transportation, Engineering, Solid Waste/Recycling,
Facilities, Streets Maintenance, Fleet Services, and Parking. Key initiatives
since assuming this role have included a the creation of a Citywide Complete
Streets Policy, a Recycle/Solid Waste rate increase, working with Sacramento
Regional Transit to identify strategies to re-imagine the former Streetcar project
as a new Light Rail extension, determination of alternatives for a new homeless
triage facility, and an update to the Department’s Strategic Plan.
