by the USACE. This project involved extensive public input and coordination
process with a technical advisory panel consisting of political and management
members and an urban design team from local community representatives.
Responsible for the design of the structure, which included submerged driven
pile foundations, pedestrian overlooks, and extensive architectural treatment.

Interstate 80/West El Camino Interchange improvement Project Study
                         Report, Sacramento, CA
Project Manager for a Project Study Report for an interchange reconstruction at
West El Camino Avenue on Interstate 80. Deficiencies included off ramps which
create unacceptable mainline queuing in the PM peak hour, two lane structure
connecting to a 4 lane local road, and a lack or bicycle and pedestrian facilities
on the structure. The structure is also too low for ultimate mainline buildout,
which included new HOV lanes in the current median. The PSR, which included
a Preliminary Environmental Assessment Report, identified a complete
reconstruction of the interchange into a variant of a type L-9 interchange, with
“squared” loop ramps to enhance safety for bikes and pedestrians. The under
clearance also necessitates a replacement of the bridge
