The school environment is
conducive for teaching and
learning; however, it is a
double story building with no
ramps to accommodate
wheelchair users, which is not
inclusive for them. The school
consist of 38 number of
classes and an additional 6
kwikspace modular
classrooms (Zozo) due to the shortage of classes. Each class consist of approximately
50-75 learners, which results in an overcrowded classroom. The classrooms are well
ventilated, most classes consist of smart boards and white boards with overhead
projectors with Wi-Fi accessible to all learners. These tools enhance student and
teacher engagement and improved learning that meet the needs of students in the
21st century skills. There is also not enough tables and chairs for the learners.
The school community tries to improve the wellbeing, health and safety of the school
by proving learners with breakfast and lunch and tighten by installing cameras and
security guards at the gate to limit unauthorised access for the safety of the pupils and
the stuff. In terms of the wellbeing of the learners the school has sport grounds even
though they are not fully equipped.
The school allows a diverse cultural and
religious practices because there is a learner
who is a “Sangoma” meaning traditional healer
and she can take part in the learning process.
The school norm is that every Friday morning
learners gather together at the school assembly
to pray and worship which is a Christian
practice. The dominating languages at this
school is Sesotho, Sepedi and Setswana which
are the learners home languages, however the
