Total items checked out increased nearly
four times from the previous academic year. This

is at least in part due to more in-person classes.

Interestingly, sophomore checkouts made up 18%
of the total checkouts. Previously, our statistics
have shown the usual “sophomore slump” with Circulation % by Patron Type,

very few checkouts. However, this year saw a 33%
increase over the previous highest year for
sophomore checkouts. This is the highest rate in 25%
this category within the past six years. This likely
reflects some curricular changes that
require students to use material outside of the First Years (3%) Sophomores (18%)
