STEP DETERMINE HOW

                5 YOU’LL ADDRESS

                           YOUR INFORMATION

                           GAPS AND DO IT

Did your interviews and research turn up some potential knowledge/skills
gaps that you’ll need to take care of? If so, your next step is to figure out
how you’ll gain those skills. The good news is that in today’s era of “free
agent learners,” there are many, many ways to get the knowledge you
           need.
           For example, you might consider:

               • Additional formal coursework
               • Informal, non-credentialed options; this might include online
providers such as Udacity or Coursera
               • Certifications through various professional groups or associations
                  such as PMI

               • “Casual learning” options (for example, reading a book or working
                  through an online tutorial)

               • Opportunities in your current job to learn more or gain more
experience by working with a colleague willing to share his/her
expertise or volunteering for a project where you’ll have a chance
to learn and apply the relevant skills

The point is to find a way to learn, master, and be able to apply those “gap”
skills as quickly, cheaply, and easily as possible.
