COMPONENTS OF SUBMISSION: THREE

           PARTS







           Please use the guideline below; however, providing any additional information not covered here is
           encouraged if you believe it will strengthen your application. We understand that your experience may
           include information beyond the scope of this guideline. Your portfolio must include three main sections:
           an objective sheet, prior experience essay, and documentation.

           I. Objective Sheet

           If you submit a portfolio, you will be required to submit a form that includes:

               • Student Name
               • Student ID Number

               • Degree Program
               • Title and Code of course for which you are pursuing credit

               • Course Objectives
               • Date of Submission

           This form can be obtained from your student success advisor and will also list the course objectives.
           Next to each objective, you will be asked to briefly summarize how you have met these outcomes.

           II. Prior Experience Essay

           The objective of this essay is to clearly explain the connections between your own experience and
           the objectives of the course. It is very important to demonstrate a clear connection within the essay
           between the artifacts you include and how they meet the course outcomes; it is essential to start with
           a clear argument and provide detailed examples to back up your statement. Your essay must also
           include theoretical concepts that link to the course objectives and reflect appropriate knowledge level.
           The concepts must include appropriate references and citations. The written portion of the portfolio
           should not exceed 30 pages.
