Gas heaterS

All staff will ensure they are aware of how to correctly use the gas
heaters, how to care for them and how to change the gas bottle as
necessary.

Operating Procedure

1. Turn the gas cylinder ON in an anti-clockwise direction
2. If the gas bottle is a NEW BOTTLE, allow 1 minute for air to purge

from gas lines.
3. Using a solution of DETERGENT & WATER in a spray bottle, spray
around the hose and fittings to check for any bubbling, which

indicates a gas leak.
4. If bubbling is present DO NOT IGNITE THE HEATER, CALL THE
SUPPLIER IMMEDIATELY TO HAVE THE UNIT REPLACED.

5. If no bubbling is present, light heater following directions on inside
of heater door.

Turning off the Unit

1. Turn the unit off following directions on inside of heater door

2. Turn off the bass supply to the until at the gas bottle, turning the
knob clockwise.
3. Disconnect gas bottle from the unit.
