UNHEALTHY LIFESTYLES THAT INCREASE
STRESS
Diseases related to lifestyle share risk factors similar to
three modifiable behaviors the smoking, an unhealthy
diet and physical inactivity - and which result in the
development of chronic diseases, especially heart
disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome,
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and some types
of cancer. These diseases used to be considered
diseases of the industrialized countries and were called
"western diseases" or "diseases of abundance",
however, they are internationally known as
noncommunicable and chronic diseases, and are part
of the group of degenerative diseases. A chronic illness
can result in loss of independence, years with disability
or death, are some of the results the Unhealthy
lifestyles.
